The club decision and subsequent information for the upcoming 2026/27 season and the potential age group change by US Soccer will be released by the club soon.

Complete player pathways for boys and girls
We offer a complete player pathway for all competitive soccer players. At our elite levels we have the MLS NEXT Academy and Development Player League, for advanced, intermediate and beginner levels of play, we have select soccer and for a recreational approach we have our MLS Go program.
Boys program only
MLS NEXT Academy
The MLS NEXT Academy division (U13-U19 boys only) was named to highlight the expanded opportunities for clubs outside of the MLS ecosystem to join North America’s top youth soccer platform, providing a highly competitive environment with a strong emphasis on player development.
MLS NEXT’s goal is to strengthen the player development ecosystem, enabling more athletes to showcase their talents throughout the regular season and at MLS NEXT regional and national events.
Age groups and rosters
U11-U14 rosters are selected at tryouts (typically May each year), and players are signed on 12-month contracts. At these age groups, MLS NEXT Academy record wins, losses, and ties with home and away games, including travel inside and outside of San Antonio.
U15-U19 rosters are selected at tryouts (typically May each year), and players are signed on 12-month contracts. At these age groups MLS NEXT record wins, losses, and ties with no 50% play rule. Our Senior teams will be expected to enter national events, college showcase tournaments along with local tournaments.

The Development Player League's mission (U13-U19 girls only) is to develop the player and empower the person in a purposeful and memorable environment, providing elite level competitive soccer
The DPL believes through superior experiences, players will be able to showcase their talent, discover collegiate opportunities and create community around the game.

The Western District Division One Association, more commonly known as the WDDOA and the Alamo City Youth Sports Organization, ACYSO (U11-U19 boys and girls) is dedicated to providing high-quality soccer competition and development opportunities for both boys and girls youth players.
With a clear focus on fostering a competitive yet supportive environment where young athletes can enhance their skills, gain tactical knowledge, and grow both personally and as team players.
Age groups and rosters
U11-U14 rosters are selected at tryouts (typically May each year), and players are signed on 12-month contracts. At these age groups, WDDOA and ACYSO record wins, losses, and ties with home and away games, including travel inside and outside of San Antonio.
U15-U19 rosters are selected at tryouts (typically May each year), and players are signed on 12-month contracts. At these age groups WDDOA and ACYSO record wins, losses, and ties with no 50% play rule. MLS Go
MLS Go is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth program (U6-U16 boys and girls) is dedicated to providing an inclusive and high-quality soccer experience for all. Our mission is to make soccer fun and affordable, ensuring more kids have the opportunity to play the beautiful game.
By offering a structured, community-based program with connections to a developmental pathway, we aim to break down barriers and make soccer accessible to all.
Age groups
5/6yo - Coed, 7/8yo - Coed, 9/10yo - Coed, 11/12yo - Coed, 13/14yo - Coed. At these age groups and level, MLS Go do not record wins or losses.

We offer multiple pathways to elite level soccer. Our boys compete in the MLS NEXT - Pioneer Division, while our girls compete in the DPL and the USCTX-RL. We also offer Select programs for both genders.

Texas Two is a male platform only independent second division league for MLS Next clubs in Texas that offers a high level competitive platform for U11-U19 boys.

The EA is a male only platform, composed of member clubs that represent elite competitive clubs in their market and have shown to be of the highest standard.

The DPL is a female only platform standards driven National League that encourages clubs to compete and grow, creating community around the game.

Texas Two | TX2.
Texas 2 is an independent second division league for MLS Next clubs in Texas that offers a high level competitive platform for U11-U19 boys.
The Texas Two inaugural season kicked off in Fall 2024. Additionally, High School aged players will have the opportunity to engage in High School soccer, further enriching their developmental journey.
