The SA United Coaching staff will use these sessions to determine where the best fit is for the player based on their current ability and potential. Four pillars of the game will be used to determine the best level for the player. These pillars are Technical ability, Tactical understanding, Physical and Mental.

Many of the sessions we use in tryouts are staples from our curriculums, so it also allows the player and parents to get a feel for our training environment and methodology.

SA United has multiple teams at most age groups, so there is a lot of opportunity for players to be selected for a team.

EVENT INFO
We are San Antonio's only tournament designed to give back to our community through local charities, with a percentage of net proceeds going directly to our beneficiary. Help us teach our kids about more than just soccer!

This years beneficiary is the CHRISTUS Childrens Foundation.

CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation was chartered in 1955 to carry out a vision: That every child in South Central Texas would receive the best available medical care, even if their parents could not pay. That noble calling remains the Foundation’s driving motivation.

To date, we have raised tens of millions of dollars to cover treatment, research, programs and capital campaigns for building funds.

These accomplishments stand as a testament to the power of your support, and to the goodwill and compassion of our community at large.

The mission of CHRISTUS Children’s Foundation is to support the healing ministry of CHRISTUS Children’s, the only faith-based non-profit children’s hospital in San Antonio. We do this by partnering with a network of volunteers and donors to strengthen health and medical care for the children of San Antonio and South Central Texas, and by championing the effort to transform the new downtown campus into CHRISTUS Children’s.

EVENTSPrivate
INDIVIDUAL
SA UNITED CAN PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL TRAINING TO ALL OF OUR CLUB AND NON CLUB PLAYERS
Individual and small group training provides all of the skillsets, speed, balance, techniques and footwork needed to become a complete player.
SA United and World Wide Soccer offer the opportunity for players to be coached by our highly skilled, professional Developmental Coaches in an individual or small group setting, where the coach-to-player attention and coaching time is at a maximum.
We schedule sessions for a time and location that suits both the player and the trainer. The sessions usually last about 60 minutes and players will be trained in technical and tactical areas of soccer.
The player can request to work on certain areas of their game or you can let the trainer asses your skill, your playing position and your physical attributes and then we will identify your training needs.
INDIVIDUAL TRAINING
These sessions are designed to offer a more individual approach to training.

Players benefit from a session uniquely tailored to their individual skills and needs. One of our Developmental Coaches will work with the player to build player strength, minimize weaknesses, and reach the players personal goals and potential.

TRAINING INFORMATION

  • Players will get many touches of the ball, working on the surfaces of the foot

  • Working on such areas as control, turning, weak and strong foot training and heading to name a few

  • Players can also request 'positional training' where our trainer would work on the primary skillset for the players position, for example a striker would work on such skills as control from the ground and air (back to goal/side to goal), shooting, finishing (ground/air), off the ball movement and heading

SMALL GROUP TRAINING
SA United offers the opportunity for small groups to develop specific skills and methods of play.
These sessions are designed to concentrate on the individuals' needs, in addition to incorporating small game-like situations.
This option is a great mix of individual attention and small group coaching. Groups can be made of team-mates looking to work on a specific tactical aspect of play, or just practice their own technique in challenged situations.
1-4 PLAYERS PER SESSION
  • $50 - 1 player
  • $30 - Per player for 2 player small group training
  • $25 - Per player for 3 player small group training
  • $20 - Per player for 4 player small group training
  • For 5 or more, please contact us for further information
