DEVELOPING THE MODERN GOALKEEPER INTO THE FIRST LINE OF ATTACK
With a dedicated focus on one of the most important positions on the field, we offer all players of SA United the opportunity to be coached by our experienced goalkeeping staff.
Our program aims at developing the modern goalkeeper, a player who understands the concept of goalkeeper as the first attacker, prepared to stop shots but also use their feet and hands to distribute and build attacks from the back.

At the program core, players will develop their techniques such as; handling, catching, parrying, diving, scooping, footwork, 1v1 and decision- making. Tactical focus on effective distribution, communication, field awareness and organization complete the program.

All SA United players are eligible to attend the program, if their Program Director or Head Coach approve this.

Aurora O

Both of my children take goalkeeper training, one is U10 and the other is U12. They like to go to practice and enjoy the training, the coaches are really nice and patient with them. The coaches have been developing their skills for almost 2 years. The training encourages them to be leaders of the team.

This is our son Preston's second full season in the Goalkeeper program. Since beginning the program, we believe there is a night and day difference. He is now responding much quicker to the ball, covering angles and is improving at reading the opponents as they approach. Overall, we think the program and coaches are great.
