CLUB HAPPENINGS
Our Academy program is a fantastic place for young athletes to continue their soccer education, while constantly challenging and developing their mind and body.
Q. Can we come out to the Sportsplex and see what the environment is like before registering?
A. Of course, we can arrange a free POE for your child and your family to experience our club.
Our Junior program focuses on our athletes learning to compete as a team, developing as an individual, enjoying the pursuit of excellence in a challenging environment.
Q. Entering into the competitive phase of soccer, what can we expect from the program?
A. We offer multiple levels of competitive play, with a club focus and philosophy on developing intelligent, skillful athletes.
Q. Do you have your own soccer fields and where do your teams train?
A. All of our teams train at our own dedicated GVTC Sportsplex and it is located on Bulverde Road, San Antonio.
Players moving into the Senior program begin to learn about our competition phase, while we develop them for successful high-school and college careers in sport and study.
Q. How do you help players with their college aspirations and recruitment?
A. With a dedicated program director, we provide each athlete with a guide and athlete profile, outlining a timeline to organize their goals and support them in the recruiting process.
Our Recreational program offers a low-cost, fun, creative and non-stressful environment, to not only develop soccer players, but for every player to participate on a team, regardless of their interest or ability.
Q. If my child really enjoys the program, are there any options for movement into the other club programs?
A. Yes of course. We actually have players who have excelled in the program and then progressed into our Academy and Junior programs to further their development.
Developing the very fundamentals of soccer, at the earliest time of a child's development, is crucial in their soccer education.
Q. What does your program offer my young child and why play so early?
A. Our program has a set curriculum based on ball mastery, and a fun challenging environment to instill a passion and love for the game.
Q. Do you employ the most qualified staff and coaches in the city?
A. Over the past 17 years we have formed an unparalleled team of high level full and part-time staff in San Antonio.
Q. Does your club hold any charity tournaments?
A. We have held our annual charity tournament, United for Hope, every year for the past 9 years, with all proceeds going to a chosen charity.

SA FOOD BANK IS OUR 13TH UFH 2023 BENEFICIARY
With our upcoming 13th United for Hope tournament coming up on February 11th, we are extremely happy and proud to announce that the San Antonio Food Bank will be its beneficiary.
Registration for the Tournament is now open! If you would like to register for this fantastic event, please click the link here. If you would like to donate to this great charity, then please visit: www.safoodbank.org. We know that many families in and around the San Antonio area have been severely affected by inflation and ongoing price increases and many are turning to the food bank to feed their families. Along with our donation, we would like to collect food items. We will be collecting at our tournament on both Saturday and Sunday.
Exciting news! That's where you come in. The team that donates the highest number of individual items will have their team entry fees reimbursed, so start collecting! We appreciate all of your support and hope to see you there! The San Antonio Food Bank takes pride in fighting hunger, feeding hope in our 29 county service area. We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, adults should not have to choose between a hot meal and utilities, nor a senior sacrifice medical care for the sake of a meal.
Founded in 1980, The San Antonio Food Bank has quickly grown to serve 100,000 individuals a week in one of the largest service areas in Texas. Our focus is for clients to have food for today but to also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.
Fighting hunger is our number one priority but we also serve to educate and provide assistance in many other ways. We achieve this through our variety of programs and resources available to families, individuals, seniors, children, and military members in need. Again, if you would like to donate to this great charity, then please visit: www.safoodbank.org.
