PREPARING THE NEXT GENERATION OF SA UNITED SOCCER PLAYERS TO PLAY AND DEVELOP IN THE SA UNITED WAY
Developing the very fundamentals of soccer, at the earliest time of a child's development is crucial in their soccer education. We create an environment to fully maximize their learning while surrounding them with coaches that make it an extremely fun place to train.
Our Rising Stars Program aims to create a fun, friendly, and challenging environment that helps develop creative young soccer players and instills a passion and love for the game of soccer.
Players will work on and develop good ball mastery skills necessary to take their game to the next level.
Training sessions will be fun and competitive with a focus to improve the skill level and understanding of the player.
Training is developed from a set curriculum that provides players with technical training to cover all aspects of the game.
We give U5-U6 boys and girls the opportunity to continue participating in local recreational leagues (NEYSO, SAYSAT, YMCA, i9) while having the advantage of supplemental, technical training provided by SA United professional trainers.
Players have the opportunity to move up to the SA United Development Program when they reach U7.

Teaching young players the fundamentals and techniques is essential at this early age.
Rising Stars players at SA United are immersed into an environment where the primary focus is on learning and developing each player's fundamental ball skills, such as total ball mastery, dribbling skills, and 1v1 abilities.
Throughout the season, we focus on the individual player becoming more comfortable with the ball and learning different skill moves to be more confident in 1v1 situations.
The Rising Stars coaching staff follow an established player development curriculum geared toward evolving the player's individual game.
Using the pool play method, we train players in the same-age groups, as well as by ability and playing experience.
Age groups are developed as an entire group, as we prepare players to have a fundamental base of skills that are necessary to be a complete soccer player and to progress through all of the programs at SA United.

Each game is of a small sided variant, allowing the players to have fun while trying out new skills and allowing them to express themselves in a healthy, challenging environment.
- • Players born in 2019 are U5 (Must be 4 by September 1, 2023)

Our Rising Stars program duration is 9 weeks.

- Our Rising Stars program is run completely through SA United which will in turn feed into our U7/U8 age groups.

GAME FORMAT
U5 teams play a 3v3 game format with 3x10 periods.
U6 teams play a 4v4 game format with 2x20 periods.
PLAYER EQUIPMENT: Players at U5 age groups use a size 3 soccer ball. Player at U6 age groups use a size 4 soccer ball. Shin guards, cleats and team uniform are required for all games and training.
FIELD DIMENSIONS: U5, it is 25x15 yards. U6, it is 30x20 yards.

What age groups does the Rising Stars program accommodate?
Our Rising Stars program begins at U5 (4) years old (Must be 4 years old by September 1), and works up to U6 (5) years old, boys and girls.
Why should my child join this program at such a young age?

How many training sessions are included in the program per week?
Our program is spread over 8 weeks total, with both age groups (U5/U6) training once per week.
Are their opportunities for my child to play up an age group?
Yes, we offer players opportunities to player at a higher level at all levels of the program. These opportunities are determined by the program Director and the player(s) coach.
Our Academy program is a fantastic place for young athletes to continue their soccer education, while constantly challenging and developing their mind and body.
Q. Can we come out to the Sportsplex and see what the environment is like before registering?
A. Of course, we can arrange a free POE for your child and your family to experience our club.
Our Junior program focuses on our athletes learning to compete as a team, developing as an individual, enjoying the pursuit of excellence in a challenging environment.
Q. Entering into the competitive phase of soccer, what can we expect from the program?
A. We offer multiple levels of competitive play, with a club focus and philosophy on developing intelligent, skillful athletes.
Players moving into the Senior program begin to learn about our competition phase, while we develop them for successful high-school and college careers in sport and study.
Q. How do you help players with their college aspirations and recruitment?
A. With a dedicated program director, we provide each athlete with a guide and athlete profile, outlining a timeline to organize their goals and support them in the recruiting process.
Our Recreational program offers a low-cost, fun, creative and non-stressful environment, to not only develop soccer players, but for every player to participate on a team, regardless of their interest or ability.
Q. If my child really enjoys the program, are there any options for movement into the other club programs?
A. Yes of course. We actually have players who have excelled in the program and then progressed into our Academy and Junior programs to further their development.
