SA United would like to congratulate several members of our coaching staff who are currently coaching or playing at the collegiate level. This experience can only be a positive for SAU players as they look to make the jump into the college game.
SAU Girls Director Mark Catterall has helped guide the St Edwards University Women’s team to a record breaking undefeated season as they clinched the Heartland Conference Title this week. The Girls go into the Conference Tournament with a record of 16 wins, 2 ties and 0 losses and are currently ranked #13 in the nation at the Division II level.

Also in the Heartland Tournament Semi Finals this weekend are Katie Kasperitis (Coach of the SAU U10 Royals) who has leads her St Mary’s University Lady Rattlers team with 8 goals and 3 assists so far this season.

Following the family tradition, Patrick Kasperitis (Coach of the SAU 01 Boys Gold and SAU Junior Goalkeeping Director) continues St Mary's Mens season with their final Heartland Conference game against ST Edwards University and their assistant coach (SAU Coaching Alumni) Matt O’Sullivan. The two teams previously met last week and St Edwards ran out 3-2 winners after scoring in the first period of overtime.

The SCAC Conference was once again dominated by Trinity University Women’s Program who go into the Conference Tournament with an impressive undefeated record of 19-0-1. Trinity Assistant coach and SAU Staff Coach Owen Collie sees his team currently ranked #2 in the nation at Division III.
UIW Assistant Coaches Julian Brown-Latham (far left back row), Chris Fidler (2nd right back row) and Edward Estrada (far right back row) have had a great first season at the Division I level.
University of the Incarnate Word Assistant Coaches, Chris Fidler (SAU Director of Goalkeeping) and Edward Estrada (Coach of SAU 03 Boys Silver & 00 Boys Silver) along with Volunteer Assistant Julian Brown-Latham (Coach of SAU U10 Dons) have had a great first year as a Division I Program. As one of only three DI men’s programs in the state of Texas, UIW look set to become one of the Lonestar State’s shining lights in future years.
