Weekend Round Up October 12th - 13th

SAU 98 Girls Gold were one of several SAU teams to show their support of Breast Cancer Research. Looking good ladies!

This past weekend saw many of our teams take to the fields sporting pink socks!! SA United Soccer Club and our players wanted to show our support for breast cancer awareness month. This is an amazing cause and we thank our players for showing their support and helping to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

Continuing on from recent weekends, we enjoyed another positive day on Saturday as the weather held off and we were able to play a full schedule of games. The 02 girls black are in fine form and picked up their 3rd win of the season as they won 1-0 in a very good game vs Bulverde. Staying with the girls side and the 00 girls Gold recorded their first win as they defeated NEYSO Scorpions 1-0 in an entertaining game. The 99 girls remain undefeated in the league as they drew 1-1 and despite not getting the result their good play deserved, the 98 girls Gold produced a good attacking performance but didn’t have the luck in front of goal!

On the boys side, the 03 boys Gold scored a superb late equalizer to rescue a point vs the Lonestars SA Black. The game finished 1-1. There were also superb performances for the 03 boys Silver, 03 boys White and 02 boys Silver as they won their respective games and the 00 boys Black stayed top of Division One as they beat Classics Elite 1-0 in a very close game. Finally, the 00 boys Gold rounded of Saturday with a 5-0 victory which continues their good run.

On Sunday, the weather played havoc as many games were called off due to the rain, however, 3 games did go ahead and we picked up a 100% record for the day! First off was the 01 Boys Gold as they went top of their league with a 5-0 win at ASP and the 03 boys White won their 2nd game of the weekend as they defeated Boerne Thunder 4-1. Finally, in Corpus Christi our 97 Boys IASA played FC Padre and the boys were fantastic throughout, winning 3-0 with a display full of dynamic movement, quick combinations and quality attacking play.
